Our Partners & Charities

Organisations we’re working with to help change the planet, for good.

The destruction of healthy forest systems causes so many different problems. Trees provide a habitat for animals, purify water sources, control flooding and erosion and help to replenish the soil with nutrients needed for farming. When farmers can’t grow anything their farms fail and they have no option but to move to the overcrowded cities looking for work. Often they have to resort to selling themselves or their families into slavery just to survive.

The Eden Reforestation project works with local communities in Madagascar, Nepal, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique & Kenya providing work by engaging the communities to replant trees to rebuild the rainforest. The duality of their mission means the project provides the community with a fair income to provide for their families again whilst rebuilding this important ecosystem. The Eden Reforestation Project helps the local community, whilst rebuilding animal habitats, restoring local rainfall patterns, helps water tables rise and improves water purity, reduce flooding and soil erosion whilst increasing soil quality, increased crop yield, stabilises farms and economies grow, decreased extreme poverty and reduces risk of villagers going into slavery.

Throughout our site, you’ll see mention of us talking about planting trees, and when we do, we’re talking about our partnership with The Eden Reforestation Project.

More than half of the oxygen we breath comes from marine photosynthesisers such as phytoplankton and seaweed, and more than 70% of the current C02 emissions will end up stored in the ocean. Daily, over one billion people rely on the ocean as a source of food, and countless others for their livelihoods. The ocean gives us oxygen, stores carbon and moderates climates; the ocean gives us life. Our Blue Planet is just that, the ocean represents 99% of all liveable space on earth, yet, surprisingly, only 2% of our ocean is strongly protected.

We’re partnering with Project Zero to protect more of our ocean. Project Zero is a global movement supported by renowned scientists, business leaders, campaigners, culture makers and ocean experts, who are all working together to awaken the fight for the ocean.

Ocean sanctuaries are places that allow the ocean to regenerate, mitigating the effects of climate change and helping the ocean regain its power. Like national parks in the water, each project in this global network is a place where the ocean can regenerate – and where no one can drill, mine, fish or pollute – a place where the ocean can return to its natural state – optimally performing, oxygen-producing and carbon dioxide absorbing.

Project Zero has set out to secure a global network of ocean sanctuaries that will provide resilience to the devastating effects of climate change. Stretching from East Antarctica to the Bering Strait, and mapped out by the world’s leading marine scientists, this global network of projects will be able to restore our ocean’s health and create a sustainable future for life on Earth.

One further partner organisations focusing on mental health, to be announced soon.

We recognise the importance of supporting planet and people, and promise to collaborate and partner with organisations that can bring this to life. Right now, we’re in conversation with another brilliant organisation and will be able to release this information very soon.
